I’m a highly skilled ‘Northern’ IT professional! Previously specialising in Microsoft Standard Operating Environments and technical lead for both Client and Server SOE infrastructure, now operating as a Technical Design Authority responsible for the provision of technical direction on all Infrastructure related projects and BAU.  I’ve worked within many differing sectors including; Financial, Government and Education, and its interesting to understand the unique requirements requested by each organisation.

You will be able to tell as my blogroll grows, my background throughout all IT support levels.  I try to ensure solutions have the backing of all support levels through cross training / mentoring and improved process development.  My previous specialisms include the development of Zero-Touch build processes for Windows XP / 2003 and Windows 7 / 2008 (SP2/R2) using Symantec Altiris, Group Policy development and VMware administration.

Currently working in London (UK) as part of a large Infrastructure Renewal Programme; responsible for the Windows 7 SOE design and Active Directory Group Policy design, while providing technical guidance on many other Infrastructure related projects such as RAS, Citrix XEN and Altiris 7.1.
